Chip and Bridget knew from the start that they wanted to have their wedding day comprised of local vendors. It’s something rare and special in this Internet age, where the world is literally at your fingertips, to keep your focus close to home. This couple is very down to earth and grounded and it was their local focus that gave their wedding a very intimate, homey feel.
Consistent with keeping everything close to home, Bridget and her bridesmaids got ready at the home of Bridget’s parents. They had their hair and make up done by Allison from Elegant Beauty before heading over to the ceremony at the Church of St. Mary in Bethel. The ceremony was gorgeous and though the rain was a bit of a disappointment, the couple needed only look at each other to remind themselves of the occasion of the day and smiles would naturally brighten their faces.
Once the formalities had been completed and they had officially joined as husband and wife, it was time to head over to The Candlewood Inn in Brookfield to enjoy an evening of great fun and dancing. They chose one of the finest DJ’s in the northeast (Big Daddy from James Daniel Entertainment) to work the crowd. For a few hours, everyone forgot about the weather outside as they enjoyed the fine food and drinks served up by Christian and his team at The Candlewood Inn and they cut loose on the dance floor. At the end of the night, their many family and friends sent them away to the glow of sparklers. It was a fitting tribute to the warmth of this couple and the spark of their love that had now blossomed into a fire glowing brightly for all to see.
Chip and Bridget, thanks so much for choosing us to be a part of your special day. May you always keep smiling every time you look at each other and may your warmth and tenderness be the hallmarks of your lives together. We wish you the best as you start your journey together!
