Bethel, CT Wedding Photography | Gene + Barbara

It is a special moment when you get to witness two dear friends of yours get married to each other. It’s even more special to have the honor of photographing it! Gene and Barbara had patiently waited for this day to come. They endured two years apart from each other (most of their relationship in fact) while Barbara served as a missionary in Kosovo. Even though there was physical distance between them, the beauty of technology, numerous Skype dates and of course the occasional visit overseas allowed for their relationship to flourish and grow. After all the talk and all the waiting and all the trials and tribulations of living in a culture that is so different from your own, it was time for this princess to walk down the aisle to her prince charming and begin a whole new life together.

As one can only imagine, the anticipation was palpable, not only from this wonderful couple, but from every single person in attendance. If you couldn’t sense it in the air, you could see it on everyone’s faces. It was a day full of laughter, joy and smiles and there were plenty of all three to go around! It even seemed heaven was smiling down and giving its approval of this grand event by providing an absolutely perfect day for a wedding. This was definitely one of the most joyful and happy weddings we have experienced and we are excited to reveal just a taste of their day through some of the images. They certainly speak for themselves, so we’ll let them take it from here…

Gene & Barbara – thank you so much for allowing us to have such an intimate part of your day! We love you guys and wish you all the best as you begin this new journey together!

In lieu of wedding favors Gene and Barbara made a donation to Love 146 to end child sex slavery and exploitation. It would mean a lot to them if you could visit the Love 146 site to learn more about this amazing organization and even make a donation.
