There is a lot of planning that goes into a wedding, but no amount of planning can ever predict that a hurricane would be part of the proceedings for a New England wedding. Arnaud and Nicole, may not have envisioned a hurricane as part of their wedding, but they sure took it all in stride and did not let it take away from their excitement and joy.
The entire wedding party got ready in the plush accommodations of the Courtyard by Marriott in Danbury, CT, while watching the hurricane coverage on TV. The ceremony and reception were both held at The Candlewood Inn where they did an incredible job on short notice of moving everything indoors due to the weather. There was also an intimate, family feel to the proceedings. Nicole’s dad had passed away, but she kept a piece of him with her as she walked down the aisle with a keepsake heart pin she had made for him as a little girl. You could tell how close her family was and that it was a huge honor for her brother to walk her down the aisle by the sheer emotion that flowed from their faces. Arnaud and Nicole chose to blend their faiths and have a combined Catholic and Jewish ceremony.
The Nite-Time band helped the guests to dance the night away with their eclectic mix of modern day hits and old time favorites. A great time was had by all who attended as they all rejoiced in the joining of this beautiful couple as husband and wife.
Arnaud and Nicole, you are such a wonderful couple and it was a delight to be with you throughout your wedding day. You handled everything with such grace and may your marriage also be filled with this type of love and acceptance whenever adversity comes your way!
