Brian and Mindy are such a fun couple. We felt an immediate connection at our very first meeting. They love to laugh and have fun together and you just can’t help but smile too when you are around them. We took their engagement photos a few weeks before the wedding at Boothe Memorial Park in Stratford, CT. It had been a little rainy that day, but Brian and Mindy didn’t really care and were more than willing to venture out into the damp grass. It didn’t really matter to them as long as they were together.
On their wedding day, a little (okay a LOT!) of early day rain couldn’t even dampen their spirits or the joy they both felt in joining together as husband and wife. By the afternoon, literally just minutes before we arrived at The Fox Hill Inn, the sun came out and was beaming as beautifully as their radiant grins, just in time for their first look.
We always encourage couples to fill their wedding with a bunch of cute little details that represent who they are as individuals and as a couple. Brian and Mindy definitely incorporated a lot of unique elements to their day, among them beer koozies as wedding favors! An especially touching component was Mindy carrying one of her grandfather’s handkerchiefs which were always clad with special sayings. She even had special handkerchiefs made for Brian as well as both of her parents which carried special sayings on them as well. The flowers, invitations, save the dates, and other various printed materials were done by a close family friend.
The evening was perfectly capped off with an appropriately jubilant reception which was wonderfully DJed by DJ Gennaro of James Daniel Entertainment. James Daniel Entertainment is the best in the business when it comes to providing quality music for a big event and this wedding was no exception as the party was rockin’ well into the night.
We loved the quote Brian and Mindy chose for the back of their programs from Dr. Seuss which read, “We are all a little weird and life’s a little weird and when we find someone whose weirdness is compatible with ours we join up with them and fall in mutual weirdness and call it love.”
Brian and Mindy – you are a wonderful couple and we had so much fun capturing your absolutely beautiful wedding. May your laid back spirits serve you well as you face the trials of life and may your “mutual weirdness” increase evermore with each day you spend together as husband and wife!
