Giving back in our community is something that we are very passionate about. We feel that our talent and resources are a gift and we receive such joy when we are able to use what we have to serve others. This passion has carried us all over the world, but just recently, we had an opportunity to take pictures for a local church, Walnut Hill Community Church. Their main campus is located in Bethel, CT, with an additional campus that meets at Chase Collegiate School in Waterbury. This fall they are starting a new campus in the Derby, Shelton, Seymour, and Ansonia area of CT. In order to begin paving the way for this new church, Walnut Hill has been holding a series of concerts at the Strand Theatre in Seymour entitled “Live at the Strand.” We were invited to photograph one of the concerts for a live CD they were recording that evening. The purpose of this CD is to be a prayer for this region of the country which has such a rich spiritual heritage. The songs they chose are traditional hymns with specific ties to Connecticut and New England, but they created original, more modern arrangements of those same hymns to give them a fresh feel. The CD is entitled “Revive Us” and in honor of its release this weekend, they have chosen to display some of the photographs we captured at the Windows Cafe on the Bethel campus. We were over there today checking them out and took several photos. Anyone who is interested in purchasing a copy of this CD can do so at the church between worship services, at Windows Cafe during normal business hours, or you can also order online at www.walnuthillcc.org/reviveus. We got our copy a couple of days early as a thank you for taking the photos and we wholeheartedly give it a major thumbs up!
