Max is a typical teenage boy – rambunctious, into video games, really funny, at times uncertain, but all in all a terrific kid. We thoroughly enjoyed getting to know him and his family as we captured his transition into Jewish adulthood. It is always amazing to watch young people rise to the occasions they find themselves in. From casual interactions with Max, you wouldn’t think he would perform well under the eyes of such a large crowd, but he managed to really shine as he handled his duties and rituals with impeccable grace and excellence.
After the formalities were over, the party began with dancing and video games. The cupcake tower was created by The Cake Box in Ridgefield, CT. As cupcake lovers ourselves, we must say these were quite tasty. It was tempting to drive by their shop on the way home for seconds.
It was special to us to have been welcomed into this event by such a caring family. We felt as though we were truly apart of this momentous occasion and not just another vendor. We enjoyed watching Max and his family celebrate together and we especially appreciated the immense amount of support and encouragement Max’s parents showered on him. It’s not often in these times to see parents who are so intimately involved in their kids’ lives and it was a beautiful thing to behold.
Max, you have a wonderful family and faith community surrounding you and a great future ahead of you. We wish you the best as you venture into this new stage of life.
