So Long Sweet Summer

As we reflect back on our summer so many wonderful memories come to mind. We feel very fortunate that we were able to do so many special activities as a family. We love to travel even if it’s just a day trip along the coast, a weekend away or an evening at the fair. One of the more memorable times we spent together this past summer was a weekend trip to Rhode Island for Brian’s cousin’s wedding. It was so exciting to be able to actually attend a wedding instead of working at it and the fact that we were able to celebrate with our children made it even better. The day was gorgeous and we took advantage of every opportunity to soak it in and capture our own memories this time.

These first two images are so precious of Leah and Brian. She loves to snuggle up close and play with his whiskers. She calls them his “rushes.” On the left Aunt Kristin is holding Ethan and on the right Brian’s cousin, Danielle, is holding our nephew, Camden. The babies are only two weeks apart. Abby practicing her ballet moves. This is one of my favorite portraits of Abby. I love the excitement in her eyes, the movement in her hair and the dirty fingers while in her white dress. It says so much about her personality. She may be a girly girl, but she isn’t afraid to play hard and get dirty! While we waited for the bride and groom to finish taking their photos we couldn’t resist heading across the street to this old shed and potato farm for some portraits of our own. We were so excited about this fun location that we adjusted all the settings in our camera and handed it to Brian’s sister to crack off a few shots. Although Katie isn’t a photographer we were really impressed by her skills. Who knows? She might be the next addition to the 47 Moments team 😉

  • Grandma James - Dear Brian & Rachel,

I loved all your wedding pictures, and loved even more the fact that we were able to be with you and see your beautiful family. I only wish I could have spent more time with you as the time went by too fast and we felt compelled to spend time with Michael’s other grandparents and family. The area was so neat and we enjoyed it so much. Thank you for sharing these. Love you all so much, grandmaReplyCancel
