Southbury, CT Wedding Photography | Russ + Erin

There were flames burning for Russ and Erin from the first moment they met…literally! Russ was serving as a volunteer fireman when he was dispatched to the retail store where Erin was working. Something caught his eye about her that day and he hasn’t been able to get her off his mind since.

Family and friends have always been very important to Russ and Erin and this was very evident in the way they orchestrated many details of their day. Erin carried a handkerchief that belonged to her grandmother’s grandmother making her the 5th generation in her family to walk down the aisle with this heirloom in hand. After the quaint ceremony at Walnut Hill Community Church in Bethel, CT, they headed over to the Heritage Hotel in Southbury to celebrate. The reception included an over 10 minute long video of memories they had shared with family and friends over the course of their lives and especially during their time together. Former Danbury area DJ Zach Dillon traveled all the way from Waco, TX, to crank out some delightful tunes as everyone danced the night away.

When two people who are just “right” for each other get married, you can just tell from the excitement that beams from the guests in attendance. Between this vibe and hearing their story of how they were brought together, we could only join with everyone else in smiling that these two people were finally married!

Russ and Erin, thank you for letting us share in your beautiful day and making us feel included in your wonderful group of family and friends. It is so touching to see such wonderful people join together with support from an incredible host of family and friends. May you continue to build many happy memories with each other and with all of those people you hold dear as you start this new and exciting journey together!
