One of the reasons we choose to include engagement sessions as a part of all of our wedding packages is because it’s a great way to build the relationship between the couple and the photographer(s). We have also found that it just helps to make the wedding photos look that much better as it serves as practice for people who are not normally accustomed to being stalked by photographers all day (with the possible exception of celebrities). This relationship between the couple and the photographer(s) makes all the difference as the photographers are one of the most intimate vendor relationships you will have at a wedding as you deal with them before the wedding to coordinate the timeline and locations, you are around them almost as much as your family throughout the wedding and they are one of the only vendors you will deal with after the wedding.
Sean and Lindsay’s engagement session was a perfect example of why we insist on including these in our packages. They are an incredibly beautiful and fun couple to be around and we had an absolute blast enjoying the Connecticut countryside near the Hopkins Vineyard with them, just walking and laughing as we went. At one point Lindsay even commented, “Now we’ll know what to do at the wedding!” She’s exactly right and if you think these photos of them are awesome, we have no doubt that their wedding photos will be even better when they get married in September!
